Miss Metta has danced with the Cleveland Ballet, New York City Ballet and the New York City Rockettes.

With 50 years of teaching experience, professional performance experience, and a lifelong passion for dance, Ms. Metta Rose brings an incredible depth of knowledge, dedication, and enthusiasm to every class at Metta Rose Dance Academy. She is accredited by the Cecchetti Council of America & Professional Dance Teacher’s Association Inc., reflecting her commitment to quality dance education and proper classical ballet training.

Throughout her career, Ms. Metta has performed on stage in numerous musicals, as well as participated as a beauty pageant contestant and even been a featured calendar model. Her extensive experience both on and off the stage has given her a unique perspective on dance, performance, stage presence, and the importance of developing strong technique and confidence.

For five decades, Ms. Metta has dedicated herself to teaching generations of dancers and sharing the joy of dance with her students. Her approach combines proper technique, terminology, discipline, and skill development with the encouragement, patience, and personal attention that allow each dancer to grow at their own pace.

One of the things that makes Metta Rose Dance Academy so special is that Ms. Metta personally teaches every class. Students have the opportunity to learn directly from an experienced teacher who knows each dancer individually, recognizes their strengths, helps them overcome challenges, and is genuinely invested in their growth.

Outside of the studio, Ms. Metta is the proud mother of three children—Ben, Brittany, and Bobby—and the grandmother of four. She was also the loving wife of her late husband, Bob, affectionately known throughout the studio family as “Mr. Metta.”

Today, Ms. Metta continues to share her passion for dance with each new generation of students, creating a wholesome, welcoming, and supportive environment where dancers can learn proper technique, build confidence, make lasting memories, and discover a lifelong love of dance.

Miss Metta’s philosophy for dance education is unique because she looks to not only teach students dance skills, but to instill confidence through dance into all aspects of life. The studio’s environment is family-oriented and often becomes like a second home to her students.

Miss Metta teaches dance through positive reinforcement, nurturing and support – she does not teach as a drill sergeant. Your child will have fun and look forward to dance class!
